Petzl Newton – Available March 2021
The Petzl Newton fall arrest range of harnesses gets a revamp after four years of the current models. The range includes the base model, Newton, the Newton Fast, with it’s FAST LT PLUS buckles on the leg loops, and the Newton Easyfit, which now comes with a smaller mesh vest. The textile sternal fall arrest attachment point has been changed. These ‘magic rings’ now include three textile layers with different colours; yellow, grey and red. If the red textile is exposed, the harness needs to be retired. These harnesses now include two dorsal attachment points; the metal attachment for connection to a fall arrest system and the textile attachment for connection to a self-retracting fall arrest system.
